Constantine 1×03: The Devil’s Vinyl.

Exorcism spell.

“Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanic potestas, omnis infernalis adversarii, in nomine et virtute Domini (unidentified word/s)”

Update #1 with thanks to nonestasylum:

Had some help from nonestasylum – ”Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanic potestas, omnis infernalis adversarii, in nomine et virtute Domini/Domine…”

Update #2 with some help from Super-wiki :

“Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus”
We exorcise you, every impure spirit

“ omnis satanic potestas, omnis infernalis adversarii”
every satanic power, every incursion of the infernal adversary

“in nomine et virtute Domini/Domine”
in the name and valor of The Lord(’s Prayer)

I Googled up the individual meanings of each of the Latin words (that wasn’t included in the translations in the Super-wiki page), and put them together to translate the last sentence.

Ahem.. we from the supernatural fandom know the whole exorcism rite by heart :p

Basically its the same exorcism used by the roman catholics and taken from a book, idk the name of the book but go on supernatural wiki and search for exorcism.

I’m from the SPN fandom as well, and also know the shortened form of the spell by heart.

I’ve never heard the last line used by Constantine used in SPN, though. But then again, my memory is pretty short.

I’m also aware that the spells are used by the Roman Catholics (and actually asked about five of my Catholic friends for help, but nothing on that). Unfortunately, Super-wiki isn’t very helpful with the last line of this, and I wanted to try and make doubly-sure I had the meanings as correct as possible. So, Google it is.

Google “Rituale Romanum .pdf” and there ull have the full ritual exorcism not the shortened hollywood version :p

Thanks, rudescience. I shall!

Update #3 with many thanks to thehallofjudgment:

– Constantine uses a shortened form of an actual exorcism called “Exorcismus in Satanem et Angelos Apostaticos” – “The Exorcism against Satan & the Apostate Angels”;

– Here’s the complete first verse of said Exorcism:

“Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanica potestas, omnis incursio infernalis adversarii, omnis legio, omnis congregatio et secta diabolica, in nomine et virtute Domini Nostri Jesu!”
“We exorcise you, every impure spirit, every satanic power, every incursion of the infernal adversary, every legion, every congregation and diabolical sect, in the name of Our Lord Jesus and by the power of the Lord!”

(If anyone happens to have a transcription of the entire command/spell used, please let me know. Assuming this is even a "real” spell. Thank you)
